October to February provides the most comfortable weather, with warm days and cooler evenings. November through January is especially good for fort walks, though popular weekends are busy. March to May becomes very hot; start outdoor sightseeing early and use museums for midday. The June-to-September monsoon brings intermittent heavy rain, humidity and occasional traffic disruption, while also cooling the landscape around the forts.
